Saturday, Nov. 1712:20 a.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Marble Street at Metropolitan Court, Citation issued for unlicensed operator.
1:55 a.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Main Street. Warning issued to operator for defective equipment. Loud muffler and headlight out.
2:03 a.m. — State 911 requesting Athol police make contact with an individual who called crying but hung up before any further information could be obtained, Shore Drive. House was vacant.
2:48 a.m. — Report of town bylaw violation, main Street. Winter parking ban violations issued throughout town.
5:55 a.m. — Ambulance responded to Main Street location for overdose patient.
5:59 a.m. — Cleaning crew set off business alarm, Reservoir Drive.
6:29 a.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Lumber Street. Warning issued for failure to use care in backing.
7:30 a.m. — Business alarm, Reservoir Drive. Side door locked but partially ajar. Primary keyholder notified.
10:04 a.m. — Suspicious activity. Party in to station to report stolen license plate. Plate was unbolted from rear of her car and was just hanging off when she went out this morning. No damage done and officer secured plate back on vehicle.
10:21 a.m. — School Street party reports someone hit her parked motor vehicle. Report taken.
10:58 a.m. — Ambulance responded to Daniel Shays Higfhway for 87-year-old female with chest pain and difficulty breathing.
11:14 a.m. — Officers checked building alarm, Pleasant Street. First floor hallway motion. All secure.
11:22 a.m. — Coolidge Street caller complaining about a vehicle parked in roadway that had been plowed in. Vehicle was out of roadway enough that two lanes of travel not affected.
12:18 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Park Avenue. Party calling to say neighbor's door wide open and no one is home. Dog returned by neighbor. Oficer contacted owner and advised. Door accidentally left ajar when leaving.
3:57 p.m. — Citizen requests officer look at damage caused to her vehicle, Exchange Street.
4:23 p.m. — Ambulance responded for 87-year-old female; difficulty breathing, South Royalston Road.
5:27 p.m. — Traffic stop, Pleasant Street. Warning issued for inspection.
6:02 p.m. — Cottage Street caller reporting possible fire at neighbor’s house. Found male party at location burning pallet and cooking fire. Neighbor stated from where she was standing it looked like the back of his house was on fire.
6:22 p.m. — Report of child abuse/neglect, Walnut Street. Officer assisted, 51A filed. Spoke with father of child. No immediate concern for child’s safety. Video does not show was any abuse. Just child crying and something being hit (possible table).
6:51 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Main and Canal streets. Warning issued for no headlights.
7:28 p.m. — Officer served 51A.
7:34 p.m. — Worker called to report shoplifting, store manager outside attempting to find individuals, Tower Road. Individuals located by officer and issued no Trespass orders for premises. Parties have stolen items here several times. Total of items taken over $1,000. Both parties to be summoned to court and trespassed from whole plaza.
8:43 p.m. — High Street caller reporting possible break-in on his home. Possible entry through the side window. Nothing appears to be taken as yet. Report taken.
8:46 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Traverse Street. Caller reporting possible rape in parking garage. Not as reported. Dispatch advised he believed a rape was occurring in the lower lot of the parking garage. STates he saw a red car pull in an it was sitting there with its headlights on. Not further info given. Officers located car in lower lot. Male party stated he just got there to eat his McDonalds. This is where he parks his car because of the parking ban. Lives on Exchange Street.
9:38 p.m. — Ambulance to Gibson Drive. Female party stated she fell and cannot get up.
9:56 p.m. — Lake Street caller reporting harassing phone calls/texts from other individual. Spoke with call who stated he has been receiving text messages from unknown party. Advised to seek Harassment Prevention Order at Orange District Court after the weekend.
10:53 p.m. — Caller reporting active fight, Main Street. Two subject had been fighting when one pulled a knife and stabbed the other several times. Subjects left prior to officers’ arrival and it was learned the stabbing victim was at the hospital. Officer gathering statements and will be filing charges accordingly.
