Dancer and actor Gregory Hines will be the subject of a first class rate forever stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service on Jan. 28. This stamp will be issued in panes of twenty self-adhesives.

New York City will be the official first day site for this stamp, which is 42nd in the Black Heritage series.

A sports card and coin show will be held on Feb. 3 in Chicopee in the Boys and Girls Club at 580 Meadow St. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Off-street parking is free, but there is a small admission charge. Door prizes are awarded every hour.

The U.S. Mint will offer two new products during the coming week. On Jan. 31, a platinum proof coin noting the Declaration of Independence will go on sale.

On Feb. 4, the Lowell (MA) National Park quarter will go on sale. This coin will be offered in rolls and bags of circulation quality strikes from the Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco mints.

To order coins from the U.S. Mint, visit their website at www.usmint.gov, or call 1-800-USA-MINT.  There is a shipping charge added to the cost of each order.
