ATHOL — WVAO 105.9FM, located at 163 S Main St., is celebrating four years as the emergency and entertainment broadcast radio in the North Quabbin region. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the region, it is a unique blend of information and entertainment. Local municipal meetings from Athol and Orange are also broadcast each month.
Volunteer radio celebrities include Jaime Horan with “Jaime J’s – Rock’n Mania,” Adam Bergeron and Lennon Woodbury with “Mad, Mad Show” highlight local musical artists, and Buddy Oborne with “Buddy’s Big Band Blast” combine the music and conversation about the Big Band Era.
Universal Meditation with Michael Young features time to focus, reflect and come into your best self through meditation. The community calendar of upcoming services and events is broadcast several times each day, supplemented by local readers from Uniquely Quabbin and Quabbin Quills.
