LEOMINSTER — Family and friends mourning the tragic death of 26-year-old Kelsey Clifford will gather for a candlelight vigil on Sunday, Nov. 17. Open to all who knew her, the vigil will begin at 6 p.m. on Sargent Street (at the end of the cul de sac) in Leominster.

The young woman’s body was found Nov. 11 in the early morning near the entrance to the wastewater treatment plant on Jones Street in Athol. The Northwestern District Attorney’s office and the Athol Police Department have launched a criminal investigation and have not released any details other than her name and age.

Pending an autopsy, the official cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
