Sir Roars A Lot, Athol Lions Club’s mascot, seen marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade route in Boston last year, will once again be decked out in his St. Patty’s Day finery, to represent the Athol Lions in Boston on Sunday, March 17. Sir Roars (Athol Lions District 33-A Governor Tim DeVault of Athol) marched in both the Boston “Southie” parade and the Worcester parades in 2018. On Sunday he will join the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipers and Drums, other bands including those from Ireland, Spain and Germany, military personnel and veterans, along the 3.6-mile parade route. Organizers are expecting 1 million people to gather for the annual tradition. The parade begins at 1 p.m. —Submitted Photo
