New leaders at Quabbin Valley Healthcare

ATHOL—Quabbin Valley Healthcare has announced its new leadership team. Mike Bell, LNHA has been appointed as QVHC’s Executive Director, and Anita Giunta, RN BSN, WCC, has been appointed the facility’s Director of Nursing Services.

Michael Kachadoorian, QVHC’s Marketing Director and Assistant Administrator said, “We are fortunate to have someone of Mr. Bell’s caliber and experience step up to lead QVHC. We are at a critical moment and we need renewed leadership to successfully implement our strategy and take advantage of the opportunities ahead.” Bell is an experienced nursing home leader with more than 10 years’ experience as an executive director and will be providing the direction needed for QVHC to strengthen its operation building upon its strong reputation, and providing QVHC with a framework for continued success.

Additionally, Kachadoorian also is excited to welcome Anita Giunta, RN, who is serving as the facility’s chief nursing manager who is charged with leading QVHC’s clinical operations. Kachadoorian said, “Anita Giunta is an experienced director of nurses and has a passion for providing the highest quality of care with compassion and integrity and combined with her experience and vast knowledge make her a perfect fit for QVHC.”

Giunta will be building upon QVHC’s clinical capabilities and introducing new programs and services to the facility to further meet the needs of the greater Athol Community.

Quabbin Valley Healthcare is the area’s only skilled nursing, short-term rehab, and long-term care center and has been a fixture in the Athol Community for nearly 60 years.
