TEMPLETON – There was plenty for adults and children alike to see, do, and buy at the annual Mac N Cheese Festival, held Saturday on historic Templeton Common. And, of course, volunteers served up heaping portions of mac and cheese in various incarnations – and other “delicacies” to appreciative festival attendees. Dishes included mac n cheeseburgers, mac n cheesedogs, mac n cheese pizza and, of course, good ol’ fashioned macaroni and cheese.

The event, which celebrated its fifth year, is organized by Friends of the Templeton Elders. Funds raised at the festival go to support the Templeton Council on Aging and the Templeton Senior Center.

Sponsors this year included: Stasukelis Appliance and TV, Village Carriage Shop, Wilson Bus Lines, Baldwinville Pizza Barn Restaurant, Deb Conrad, The Dames, Jane Eaton, Linda Fogarty, Pat Gale, Gardner Agway, The Goguens, Holy Cross Church, Happy Trails Natural Foods, Lakeview Nursery, Martin’s Barber Shop, Nouveau Riche, Patriots Package Store, St. Martin’s Church, Residents of 52 Kyle Drive, Steeple Antiques, Templeton Spirit Co., Valley Florist and Village Pizza & Subs.

Musical entertainment was provided by jb Murray & The Music, The Can Collectors, and Sweet Euphoria.

According to the Friends’ website, money raised this year will help to fund completion of the kitchen at the Senior Center and the installation of a wheelchair lift for the lobby.
