Crews work through weekend to restore power 

  • A crew from National Grid was working to restore power on Harvard Avenue in Athol Sunday around noon time. Customers had been without electricity since the nor'easter swept through early Thursday. —Athol Daily News/Deborrah Porter

ATHOL — Scattered National Grid and Verizon crews were observed over the weekend working to restore services to the hundreds of residents who had been without power from last week’s damaging nor’easter.

As of press time Sunday, there were several hundred customers still without power. According to National Grid, the following customers were affected:

Athol – 198

New Salem — 16

Orange — 190

Phillipston — 12

Royalston — 126

Warwick — 182

Petersham — 3.
