ATHOL — Dust off those tap shoes and tune those ukuleles! The Athol Lions Club is preparing to host its first Variety Show at Athol High School on March 16 at 7 p.m., and is seeking talented people of all ages to showcase during what is hoped to be an evening of good-natured fun and entertainment.

Do you sing, dance, juggle, whistle, play the harp, the piano — the spoons? Then the Athol Lions Club wants you. The Lions are looking for entertainers who like to play to large crowds and have fun doing what they enjoy.

Performers from the North Quabbin and surrounding areas are welcome to participate. The acts are coming in and the excitement is building among the committee members organizing the event.

There is room for more acts for those who would like to join in the fun. To inquire,  email to: with a brief description of your act. Emails will be answered promptly with more information about the show, and a time to come and show the committee your act.

You may also contact any of the following committee members for more information: Committee Chair Dee Wheeler, Kathy Chaisson, Becky Fortin, Lurene Hall, Luanne Pierson and Deborrah Porter.

Your participation enables the Athol Lions to raise the funds to support various causes right here in our community, and to continue Lions Clubs International’s important work around the world to eradicate blindness.
