Teen housing center open house Oct. 30
ORANGE - A ribbon cutting and open house will be held at Orange Teen Housing at 15-17 East Main St. on Friday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tours will be given of the newly renovated building with 10 studio apartments for homeless young adults 18 to 24, and a new first-floor program space with full kitchen, accessible bathrooms, private office and open program space.
The ribbon cutting will be at 10 a.m., tours will follow. Local cider and donuts will be available.
The second annual DIAL/SELF Awards Gala will be held in the dining commons at Greenfield Community College on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Seasonal hors d' oeuvres, a cash bar, coffee and tea will be available. A social hour will be from 5:30 to 6:30, with the program starting at 6:30. Awardees this year include Joanie Bernstein, Jared Libby and Tracey Range.

The third annual DIAL/SELF Sachem Scamper will be held Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m.
Bring the family and friends or come solo for an approximately five-kilometer trail run around the base of Sachem's Head in Greenfield.
There will also be a three-kilometer walk option for those who would prefer a stroll through the woods. Online registration is now open at https://www.runreg.com/dialself-sachem-scamper.
The last two years have seen a really cold morning and a completely snow- and ice-covered landscape. However, there was still a large turn-out.
