Athol Daily News Santa Fund reaches $5,169

ATHOL — With 16 days remaining until Christmas the Athol Daily News Santa fund is heating up. Since last reported, $875 has been received, bringing the running total to $5,169 total towards the goal of $13,500 to purchase gifts for children for Christmas. 

Donations received since Friday include: Witty’s Funeral Home $250; Martin Sprague $100; Tully City Council Club $100; Bob and Pat Lanoue in memory of all their loved ones $100; in memory of Pete and Charlotte $100; Linda and Ronnie in memory of Wenonah Grucan $50; Linda and Ronnie in memory of Maurice and Pearl Favreau $50; Susan and Harry Haldt $30; Deb Blanchard in memory of George and Arlene Blanchard $25; R&R Burgess $25; Nancy in memory of Olive Kimball $15; in memory of Joe Wojtkowski $10; in memory of Dorothy $10; in memory of Edith Routhier and Carl Saven $10. 

The deadline to sign up your children to receive toys is fast approaching, and must be done by Friday, Dec. 11. Stop by the Daily News Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (proof of residency of all recipients is required).

Donation forms, found in the Daily News each day throughout the giving season, may be clipped and dropped off in the business office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or mail checks or money orders to: Athol Daily News Santa Fund, P.O. Box 1000, Athol, MA 01331.
