Stella J. Pandiscio
FITCHBURG — Stella J. (Piccicuto) Pandiscio, 89, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family.
Stella was born in Fitchburg on March 19, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Moscato) Piccicuto. She attended Saint Bernard’s High School, and later the Rob Roy Beauty School in Boston. Stella owned and operated Stella’s Beauty Shop in Fitchburg for 69 years. Nothing was more important to her than her family; Stella treasured her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony di Padua Church.
Along with her beloved husband Rocco, Stella enjoyed traveling to Hollywood, Fla., and spending time at their condo. She also loved visiting “Camp” High Hopes in Ashburnham every summer and on the weekends.
She leaves her children, Gary Pandiscio of Gardner, Stephanie Pandiscio of Athol, and Christopher Pandiscio and his wife Melissa of Leominster; grandchildren, Jason Vaillancourt and significant other Shelly Beauvais of Athol, Benjamin Earley and significant other Desaree Amado of Worcester, Allie Pandiscio of Leominster, and Rocco Pandiscio of Leominster; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kennedy, and Giana Vaillancourt, and Drea Earley; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves Danny Bilek, Krystal Degnan, and Heather Bilek, whom she loved and considered family.
Stella was predeceased by her husband Rocco Pandiscio in 2016; her sister, Jennie Duval; and her brother Rocco Piccicuto of Rocky’s Barber Shop.
The family would like to extend a most sincere thank you to both Beverly Cournoyer and Desaree Amado for their loving care of Stella.
The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass in Saint Anthony di Padua Church, Fitchburg, at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 30. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
