ATHOL — A Mass of Christian Burial for Roberta S. Landry was held Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Athol.
Rev. Edwin Montana, pastor of St. Francis, officiated. Rev. Francis Landry con-celebrated. Burial followed in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
The organist was Janet Paoletti and the soloist was Lori Peterson. The Pall was placed on the casket by her daughters Lisa Cashman and Gigi Cowart and her daughter-in-law Chris Landry. The readings were shared by grandsons Cody Cowart and Grady Cashman. The Offertory Gifts were brought forth by her grandchildren Neeka Cowart, Jaimi Murcell, Erika Landry and Casey Landry. The eulogy was given by her son E.J. Landry.
Bearers were Kevin Cowart, Bill Cody, Cody Cowart, Ryan Murcell, Grady Cashman and Dean Landry.
A reception followed at the Ellinwood Country Club in Athol.

GARDNER — Roberta S. (Muzzy) Landry, 79, of Gardner, formerly of Athol, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at UMass Medical, Worcester.
Roberta was born on Oct. 29, 1938, in Gardner, the daughter of the late John Muzzy Jr. and the late Stella (Hlasny) Muzzy.
She grew up in Athol and graduated from Maria Assumpta Academy in Petersham in 1956. She received her associate’s degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. She was a teller for the First National Bank in Athol.
Roberta was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Athol and a former member of the Petersham Curling Club. She enjoyed tag sales, playing bingo and time spent with her family.
She is survived by one son, E.J. Landry and his wife Christine of Burlington; two daughters, Lisa Cashman of Melbourne, Fla., and Gigi Cowart and her husband Kevin of Melbourne, Fla.; one brother, John Muzzy III of Athol; one son-in-law, Richard Murcell of Orange; Text ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/SolidText ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/Solid$ID/NothingText ColorText Color$ID/NothingText ColorText Color10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Dean C. Landry; her daughter, Carla Murcell; her grandson, Shaun Murcell; her brother, Augustin Muzzy; and her sister, Victoria Hillis.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Nov. 6, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 105 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
