Leon E. Howard Jr.
ORANGE — Leon E. Howard Jr., 32, of East Main Street, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare campus, in Worcester.
Born in Greenfield on May 10, 1983 he was a son of Tammy Tenney and the late Leon E. Howard Sr. and grew up in Orange.
Leon was not only mechanically inclined, but has had an entrepreneurial spirit and had won an award for it through the Young Entrepreneur Society, Inc. in Orange.
At age 21, he bought his first home where he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews as well as the entire family.
A quiet kid, Leon grew into am outgoing young man. He loved motorcycles, hiking, hunting, fishing and especially backpacking. Leon also like to do tattoos
Employed as a fabricator for Valley Metal Works, Leon had previously worked for Niagra Cutter in Athol.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy Tenney of Orange; a brother, Bryan Howard of Orange; a sister, Sarah Howard, and her fiancé’ Steve White, of Royalston; aunts and uncles, Bunny and Mark Bailey, Tracy Wilson and Kathy Whittemore; nephews, nieces and many cousins.
Leon was predeceased by his father, Leon E. Howard Sr. on February 7, 2012.
Calling hours will be held on February 20, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
There are no formal services and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.
