Joanne D. Boulanger
WERNERSVILLE, Pa. — Joanne D. “Joni” (Duval) Boulanger, 77, of Wernersville, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, peacefully in the comfort of her family in her residence. She was the wife of J.E. Donald “Don” Boulanger, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Montague, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Keniston) Duval.
She was a 1957 graduate of Orange High School, and was looking forward to her 60th high school reunion. She was also a 1959 graduate of Ward School of Business.
She retired in 2004 as a realtor, having previously worked for Shurfine in Wernersville, and previously in her favorite job as a florist at Kutchies Florist, Midland, Mich.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Realtor’s Association of Berks County.
She was a strong, confident, and loving mother and grandmother, and was happiest visiting with her grandchildren and the beach. She had a passion for cooking, embroidering, and sewing. She was a talented cake decorator, had a very green thumb, and enjoyed traveling. Her glass was always half full and never half empty and she continued to have a positive attitude throughout her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Nancy A., wife of Evan Twarog of Wolcott, Conn., Donna E. Boulanger and Mark Cholewa of Sinking Spring, Pa., and Sandra N., wife of Stephen Sauer of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother, Richard Duval, husband of Brenda of Round Rock, Texas; a sister, Denise, wife of Richard Trinque of Holliston, Mass.; four grandchildren, Kyle and Monica Twarog, and Ben and Peyton Sauer; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 22, at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Alban’s Dr., Whitfield, Pa. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 21, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
