Donna A. Hargett

ORANGE — Donna A. (Bosworth) Hargett, 66, of King James Court, East River Street, died late Monday evening, Feb. 1, 2016, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Born in Gardner on April 8, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Electra (Tortensen) Bosworth and graduated from Athol High School in 1967.

Donna had been married to Vance Hargett.

Employed by the MCI Transformer Company in Orange, Donna had started doing assembly work and worked her way up to a manager before retiring. She previously had worked at the Slencil Company in Orange.

Donna was member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed her time with family and friends, as well as watching NASCAR racing and cheering on the New England Patriots. Donna also enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Berry and her husband, Wayne, of Orange; grandchildren, Lauren Spooner of Orange and Phillip Berry and his wife, Emily, of Maine; siblings, Linda Whitehouse and her husband, Bill, Carole Rock, and Ryan Bosworth, all of North Carolina, and Penni Menard, and her husband, Tim, of Bernardston; and several nephews and nieces.

Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her second mother who helped to raise her, Virginia Bosworth, in 2008, a brother-in-law, Richard Rock, and a sister-in-law, Jane Bosworth,

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Orange American Legion, 40 Daniel Shays Hwy., Orange.
