Born in Altona, N.Y., on July 17, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Dora (Baker) Shaw and grew up on the family farm in Altona and graduated from Altona Central School.

Catherine was a production worker at the Erving Paper Mill for close to 40 years before retiring in 1992.

Known as an extreme shopper, Catherine loved exploring stores for bargains. She also enjoyed flowers.

Survivors include her sons, Floyd R. Sorry to hear about Catherine. I have a lot of memories of grow up with this family in Erving. Going to Erving Elementary School to Mahar High School. And seeing Catherine in the stores in Orange. She will always be remembered as a friendly person. We had some good talks about our families at Erving Paper Mill. We will miss you Catherine.

to Bill and Floyd my condolences to you both
