12:49 a.m. - Request for ambulance, J Street.

1:29 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, White Pond Road. All secure.

1:46 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, Batchelder Road. All secure.

2:11 a.m. - 911 caller reporting a fire, Partridgeville Road.

2:51 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, North Orange Road. All secure.

3:47 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, Old Keene Road. All secure.

5:07 a.m. - Officer out with a disabled motor vehicle, Main Street. Vehicle was showing signs of over heating due to the negative degree temperatures. Operator able to drive vehicle once it cooled down to a location where he could seek assistance.

8:12 a.m. - Caller reporting that she does not have working water, School Street.

9:33 a.m. - Caller reporting that she does not have working water; Department of Public Works notified, Ridge Avenue.

9:49 a.m. - Caller requesting police assistance regarding a child custody issue, Cottage Street. Spoke with reporting party regarding ex refusing to return kids this evening. Advised of options through probate court and contempt of court.

1:36 p.m. - Reporting party requesting an officer check on female party who is sitting in her car making dangerous statements, South Street. Female party said to not send ambulance. One fresh set of footprints leading from apartment to a vacant parking spot in the driveway. Fresh tire tracks leaving the driveway observed.

1:49 p.m. - 911 caller requesting the water department as there is water backing up in his house.

2:16 p.m. - Officer assisting another police department regarding missing iPhone X, School Street. Response canceled after Gardner PD called back to report the phone had been found.

4:15 p.m. -  Command reported oil spill resulting in thick black smoke from smokestack, Main Street.

5:05 p.m. - Animal control officer notified of complaint, Kelton Street.

5:11 p.m. - Report of erratic driver, Templeton Road. Negative contact.

5:25 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Exchange Street. Warning for not having lights on.

6:25 p.m. - Fire alarm activation, Main Street.

7:29 p.m.  - Caller reports male party soliciting Walmart gift cards for cash, Patrick Avenue. Checked the area; negative contact with male party.

7:49 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, New Athol Road. Operator issued citation for operating with a suspended license and defective equipment.

8:43 p.m. - Reporting party states that there is a car doing doughnuts in the old elementary school parking lot, Pleasant Street. Gone on arrival.

9:51 p.m. - Call from alarm company reporting dining room motion, Orchard Street. Canceled by alarm company. 

10:02 p.m. - Spoke with mother who stated that she was at a friend’s house playing with her son and that it was school vacation, Lyons Hill Road. Advised father of same. No issues.

11:16 p.m. - 911 caller requesting police for suspicious activity in the area of Brattle Street and Burma Road. Checked area; no one walking on surrounding streets.

11:17 p.m. - Call direct from AFD for a report of smoke in the area of historical society, Main Street. Checked the area with AFD; hazy wood smoke blanketed the area; otherwise unfounded.

Sunday, Dec. 31

12:10 a.m. - 911 call transferred from State Police Framingham for an unknown dispute between two individuals. Subject was homeless and kicked out of his girlfriend’s mother’s apartment after causing a disturbance. Subject was outside with no other place to stay and had no one to contact. Subject transported to station under protective custody. Once at the station subject began making statements of wanting to die and to harm himself. AFD responded and transported subject to Athol Hospital where he was placed under Section 12.

2:25 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, Batchelder Road. All secure.

2:52 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, Old Keene Road. All secure.

5:13 a.m. - Officer checking a residence, Franklin Street. All secure.

7:59 a.m. - Request for an ambulance, Daniel Shays Highway.

9:09 a.m. - Request for an ambulance, Harrison Street.

9:32 a.m. - Request for a mutual aid ambulance, School House Road.

9:36 a.m. - Caller requesting an officer respond for a mental health evaluation, South Main Street. Subject transported to AH.

10:31 a.m. - Caller reports that a dog was just struck and killed, Daniel Shays Highway. Left message for ACO.

11:17 a.m. - Caller reporting a past breaking and entering, Brattle Street.

11:26 a.m. - Caller reporting a dog in vehicle, Tower Road. ACO advised.

12:44 p.m. - Caller reporting suspicious activity, possible fraud, Silver Lake Street.

2:07 a.m. - Caller requesting assistance regarding child custody issue, Main Street. Officer advised caller to seek filing contempt with the probate court.

2:36 p.m. - Caller reporting that there is a cat outside of a house on the corner of Unity and Wellington streets. Left message for ACO.

3:11 p.m. - Report of child abuse/neglect Exchange Street.

3:36 p.m. - Caller requesting a lift assist, Brattle Street.

3:51 p.m. - Subject reporting erratic operator, Main Street. Unable to locate vehicle on roadway. Officer located vehicle at owner’s address but there was no answer at the door after multiple attempts at knocking.

4:34 p.m. - Subject reporting a husky that has been outside all day, Gage Road.

4:44 p.m. - Orange Fire Department requesting a mutual aid ambulance for a 60-year-old male party found down, unresponsive and blue, West Main Street, Orange.

4:48 p.m. - Subject requesting to speak with an officer regarding us girlfriend and 6-month old baby, Craigin Street.

4:55 p.m. - Petersham requesting a mutual aid ambulance for a 46-year old female found unresponsive to verbal stimuli, West Street, Petersham. Subject transported to AH.

5:10 p.m. - Caller states that his 55-year-old brother is intoxicated and being disruptive, Vine Street. Subject placed in protective custody.

5:11 p.m. - Caller states the dogs next door have been outside and barking since 7 a.m., Chestnut Street. Officer checked on dogs who appeared to be healthy and happy. Officer advised owner to bring dogs in because of the cold weather.

5:55 p.m. - Caller states that her 27-year-old daughter was just released from a mental health facility and she does not want her in her home, Sanders Street.

9:57 p.m. - Request for an ambulance for a 63-year-old male with a headache and shaking, Gibson Drive.

10:05 p.m. - Reporting party states that the dog that resides behind her property has been outside since 8 p.m., Pequoig Avenue. Spoke with the caller and advised the owners had brought the dog inside.

10:45 p.m. - Report of fireworks, Leonard Street.

11:05 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Daniel Shays Highway. Warning issued.

11:35 p.m.- Request for an ambulance for a motor vehicle accident, Glen Valley Road, Petersham.

11:42 p.m. - Caller reports a male with a knife to his throat trying to harm himself, Metropolitan Court. Orange ambulance dispatched. Assisted fire department with transport to AH.
