Sherry L. Crocker
ORANGE — Sherry L. (Deyo) Crocker, 59, of Chase Street, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec.18, 2017 at Athol Hospital after being stricken ill earlier.
Born in Greenfield on Aug. 18, 1958, she was a daughter of Edward and Patricia (Cullen) Deyo and grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School in 1976.
In 1980, she married Paul M. Crocker and they have enjoyed 37 years of marriage.
Employed by MCI Transformer in Orange, Sherry had previously worked for Shop and Save, which became Hannaford’s Supermarkets.
A devout race fan, Sherry and Paul enjoyed all kinds of racing, but especially drag racing. They had traveled up and down the East coast to take in some of the major races.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Paul M. Crocker, of Orange; her mother, Patricia Quinn of Manchester, N.H.; a son, Paul E. Crocker and his wife, Alicia, of Orange; grandchildren, Ryan Crocker and Jariah Crocker, both of Orange; a sister, Darlene Tarr and her husband, Peter, and their children, Kelsey and Samantha, all of Hancock, N.H.; a brother, Michael McCaffery and his wife, Elise, and their children, Sean and Madison, allof Manchester, N.H.
Sherry was predeceased by her father.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange.
There are no formal services.
Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Athol will be at a later date.
