ATHOL — Graveside services for Frank T. Norton were held Friday, June 2, in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
Rev. Mark Bariloni officiated. Bearers were Robert (Rob) Nauman, Elizah Aiken, Frank Norton Jr. and Frank Shaughnessy.
Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange directed arrangements.
ATHOL — Frank T. Norton Sr., of Athol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Heywood Hospital in Gardner after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 23, 1934, in Ayer. Frank lived in Groton and attended Groton schools.
Frank worked with his father for many years as a carpenter and built several houses in the Groton area. He was employed at the Hartnett Tannery in Ayer, the Groton Leatherboard of West Groton, and Asher Pants Company of Fitchburg during his working career.
Mr. Norton resided in Lunenburg for 40 years before moving to Athol in 1995.
He liked gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Orange Sportsman’s Club.
Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, one son, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by one daughter.
