GFA promotes Perry to VP

GARDNER – Tina M. Sbrega, GFA President and CEO, has announced the promotion of Ed Perry to vice president/real estate sales development officer. 

Perry joined the GFA team in 2007 as branch manager and was later promoted to assistant vice president/branch manager as a result of his ability to provide exemplary member service. During his tenure, Perry doubled annual loan originations and often exceeded budget expectations at all branches he managed.

In October 2015, Perry was promoted to assistant vice president/real estate sales development officer with responsibilities to help foster relationships with realtors and borrowers, assisting them in real estate purchases or refinances. In addition to building the realtor network, his responsibilities include establishing homebuyer programs and realtor open houses to serve the personalized banking needs of the credit union’s membership. Perry partners with the branch network to provide real estate sales coaching and training.

“Since accepting the position, Ed has done an excellent job advancing our delivery of mortgage lending solutions and has provided education to staff and our membership about the wide variety of financing solutions for first-time homebuyers, lower income buyers and equity borrowers,” said Joan Moran, Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer.

Perry has more than 15 years of professional banking experience. He has specialized banking and credit union education through the nationally renowned American Institute of Banking and the Center for Financial Training. Perry is also a graduate of the Franklin Covey Leadership Program, specializing in sales, productivity and customer service. He is a volunteer for the Gardner boys travel basketball team, and resides in Gardner with his wife and two sons.
