9:26 a.m. - Caller reports open door at residence across the street, Mt. Pleasant Street. No sign of forced entry. Building checked; nothing found.
10:07 a.m. - State’s Department of Children and Families called to report female party missing, D Street. Party states female took off from PATCH office on Dec. 2 and has not been seen since. Unable to put information on female into system at this time due to computer program not working. Officer is familiar with subject. Missing person form completed.
10:10 a.m. - Caller reports harassing messages on Facebook regarding her granddaughter, Old Keene Road. Spoke to staff at Athol-Royalston Middle School. Principal already aware. Advised caller of option for harassment prevention order (HPO) through Orange District Court.
10:55 a.m. - Motor vehicle lockout, Tower Road. Tow company responded.
11:39 a.m. - Report of town bylaw violation involving unregistered vehicles, Lewis Street. Spoke to owner of Bill’s Motor Mart who stated he would move them.
11:48 a.m. - Subject to station for sex offender registration.
12:12 p.m. - Caller reports tractor trailer stuck in road and causing a hazard, Chestnut Hill Avenue. At 12:20, tow company called for rotation tow. Vehicle disabled and no operator was around. At 12:53, MassDOT was advised they were not to be doing work on the bridge without a detail officer or flag person on duty as it was hazardous. MassDOT was replacing bolts on bridge deck.
1:42 p.m. - Walk-in reports losing wallet at store, Brookside Road.
2:57 p.m. - Summons served, Twichell Street.
3:03 p.m. - 911 hang-up, Chestnut Hill Avenue. Busy on call back. Officer spoke to subject who stated there must be something wrong with her phone. No emergency.
3:10 p.m. - Caller reports she was scammed out of $260 by an Athol resident who took her deposit money and then apartment was rented to someone else, Crescent Street. Caller states subject is refusing to return deposit.
3:21 p.m. - Caller reports there is a female party sitting in the road and she has a knee injury, Vine Street. Assisted Athol Fire Department with patient.
3:50 p.m. - Subject to station for sex offender registration.
5:09 p.m. - Caller requests officer respond for upstairs residents who have a generator set up and it is running non-stop on the roof of the home, Walnut Street. States noise is bothering him and he doesn’t want generator on roof of his property.
5:47 p.m. - Officer out with disabled vehicle, South Main Street. Owner had already contacted Triple A.
6:08 p.m. - Walk-in reports she was following a vehicle that has no taillights, Main Street. While on the call, party stated lights came on and it appeared driver hadn’t fully turned on lights prior to that.
6:56 p.m. - Caller reports alarm sounding at Verizon building, Riverbend Street.
7:35 p.m. - Restraining order (209A) served, Anzio Road.
7:38 p.m. - Summons served, Anzio Road.
7:49 p.m. - 209A served, Cailan Way.
9:12 p.m. - Caller requests to speak to officer about mental health assistance for a family member, Vine Street. Subject was brought home by friends intoxicated. Mother asked for assistance with getting him to his car so she could bring him to the hospital to get examined, as he has a previous head injury with staples and she is afraid that drinking with the injury could be dangerous. Subject transported to hospital in cruiser at family’s request.
9:31 p.m. - Officer assisted another police department with attempt to locate subject at Central Street location. Subject not there and his brother did not expect him back, as they do not get along. Bernardston Police advised.
9:39 p.m. - Athol Hospital ER requests officer respond for patient who was just dropped off. Assisted staff and security with male party who was uncooperative and under the influence of alcohol and being aggressive toward staff.
10:29 p.m. - Caller reports loud banging coming from neighbor’s home, South Main Street.
11:53 p.m. - Officer reports traffic cones have been run over, South Main Street and Brookside Road. Officer replaced cones.
11:58 p.m. - Traffic stop, Templeton Road. Verbal warning for defective headlight.
1:25 a.m. - Caller reports she woke to the sound of an unknown person yelling outside her house, Main Street. States it appeared to be a male subject with long hair who sounded like he was fighting with someone but he was all alone. At 1:30, officer reports he is out with female party on Main Street at the intersection with upper School Street. Intoxicated female taken into protective custody.
2:44 a.m. - Tickets issued for overnight winter parking ban violations, Chestnut Street.
3:42 a.m. - House check, Old Keene Road.
4:59 a.m. - Traffic stop, Petersham Road. Citation issued for speeding and failure to inspect.
5:40 a.m. - Traffic stop, Petersham Road. Citation issued for speeding.
6:08 a.m. - Caller requests officer go to her house and bang on door to make her three children get up for school, Cottage Street. States their father is with them but they give him a hard time and they have not been going to school. Subject was advised that if a parent is at home it is the parent’s responsibility to make sure children attend school.
7 a.m. - Summons served, Exchange Street.
