Y soccer roundup: Athol Savings bests Kimball-Cooke 5-1

ATHOL — The Athol Area YMCA youth soccer league has reached its playoffs. Recent results are as follows:

U8

Athol Savings Bank 5,

Kimball-Cooke Insurance 1

Ethan Heuer pumped in four goals while Aaron Horrigan added one of his own to lead ASB to the win.

Jack Inniss, Lucas Le’Cuyer and Liam Baader also played well for the victors.

Caunor Mason scored for Kimball-Cooke which got strong performances from Mason Putnam, Nick Sherman, Ryleigh O’Brien and Mason.

Ava Adams and Mackenzy Leger were tough in net.

Athol Credit Union 5, Rotary 0

Camdyn Belliveau scored a pair of goals while Jackson Burnham, Brody Cwalina and Kaden Coleman also scored for ACU.

The victors got strong defensive efforts from Lyllie McGivern, Aiden Labrie and Rylee Boudreau while Coleman and Audrina Vincent led the attack.

The Rotary was led by Brady O’Connell,  Skylar Charron, Maddisyn David, Alex Lavigne, Sarah Linskey and Kylie Charron.

Starrett Tools 3, Kessler Investments 0

Gentry Parker knocked in a pair of goals while Kaeden Desilets also found the back of the net to give Starrett’s the victory. Ian Nutter and Kylie Lamie had assists.

Claire McNamara, Aiden McNamara, Heyrlackmung Calypso, Desilets, Nutter, Lamie and Parker all played well in the win.

Matthew Croteau, Gianna Vallaincourt and Evelyn LeBlanc led a strong effort by the Investors.

Oldach Law Office 6,

Pete’s Tire Barns 0

Caleb LeBlanc’s hat trick keyed the victory for Oldach. Gabe Goise knocked in a pair of goals while Raymond Castine also scored. Castine had a pair of assists while Gois had one helper.

Ava Martin led the defensive effort for the winners while Lily Uch was strong on the attack.

Drake Yarborough and Bernie LeBlanc all played well for Pete’s.

Baxter Chiropractic 5,

Shore Drive Apartments 3

Jacob O’Brien scored all five goals to send the Chiropractors to victory. Timmy Gerry, Camren Beauvais, Joey Grant and Chevelle Stockwood all had strong games for Baxter.

Ethan Heuer scored twice for Shore Drive which also got a score from Bernie LeBlanc.

Alex Wiseman, Drake Yarborough, Landon COllins, Kayla Legare, Aiden Saviski and Trinity Boyd (goalie) all excelled for Shore Drive.

U16

Elks 3, Mass Natural 1

Colby Soltysik netted a pair of goals and Stephen Younger added one for good measure to lift the Elks to victory. Jenna Bonenfant, Xavier Belliveau and Daisy Si had assists.

Leah Baxter, Bonenfant and Si led the defensive effort while Younger and Soltysik sparked the attack.

Dennis Humphrey scored for Mass Natural. Humphrey, Matt Stevens, Jaycob Lamarche and Kennedy Vaillancourt all played well in the loss.

Athol Auto 4,

Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home 1

Joey Stanford scored twice to lead the victors. Eliza Baczek and Emma Bacigalupo also rippled the twine. Bacigalupo and Akash Darjee had assists.

Logan Parker was awesome in goal for the victors.

Bryton Collins scored for the Funeral Home. Justin Giansanto, Cole Michaud, Alexander Plotner, Cameron Troche, Isaac Dodge and Lacee Boutell played well in the loss.
