George P. Benham - Oct. 22, 2015
ORANGE - George Paul Benham, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Eileen M. (Cote) Benham; three sons, Randy Benham and his wife Patricia, Ron Benham and his wife Sandra, and Paul Benham and his wife Kimberly, all of Leominster; two stepdaughters, Robin Nano and her husband Eric of Lunenburg and Patricia Johnston of Orange; one stepson, Richard Johnston and his wife Eileen of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Breton and her husband Victor of New Hampshire; one brother, Richard Benham of Fitchburg and several nieces and nephews.
George was born in Somerville on Oct. 15, 1942, a son of the late George and Mary (O'Brien) Benham. He graduated from Littleton High School in 1960. In addition, he attended Northeastern University and served in the Army National Guard. George was a longtime resident of Lunenburg before moving to Orange.
George was a New England sports fan who also enjoyed hunting, old Westerns and traveling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and socializing with friends.
George's funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Boniface Church, 817 Mass Ave., Lunenburg. Burial will follow in the North Cemetery, Holman Street, Lunenburg.
Calling hours will be in the funeral home, on Monday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m.
