Friday, Dec. 29

7:15 a.m. — Assisted motorist with lockout, Beacon Street.

8:38 a.m. — Request from Catholic Charities to check subject on East River Street not answering doors. Found inside the apartment on the floor. Transported by Orange Ambulance.

11:20 a.m. — Traffic stop South Main Street, for operating with rejected inspection sticker. Verbal warning given

1:22 p.m. — Caller wanted it logged that he was driving near the top of the road a branch came down and almost smashed his windshield. Lake Mattawa Road. Denied need for police report. 

2:20 p.m. — Walmart reported female is requesting police because someone stole credit card and car. Officer spoke to female who said she got into an argument with subject over a product and he left the store. Male party located outside who gave female party her keys and debit card. Female party left and male party was transported to residence without incident.

2:28 p.m. — Traffic stop, East River Street. Verbal warning for speeding.

2:50 p.m. — Officer observed females yelling at each other in parking lot, Main Street. Sent on way.

3:05 p.m. — Pleasant Street caller looking to speak with officer about vehicle that was worked on had damage to rear bumper. The company cannot fix for two weeks, and wanted police aware because she’ll be driving around with it. She has paperwork from garage. 

3:05 p.m. — East River Street caller reports Suboxone was stolen while at a poker game in Tully a  few weeks ago. Wanted on record. Will call if any more information becomes available to start an investigation.

3:55 p.m. — Walkin reports party with PCA asking questions about getting subject out of Cheney Street apartment. They were directed to speak with Orange District Court as person has been staying there for 30 days.

4:02 p.m. — Walk-in, who works for Acadia home care requested assistance with getting paperwork to DCF ad Elder Services agencies, East River Street. Completed reports faxed.

5 p.m. — Cheney Street caller states subject kicked her out of house. Upon arrival, party requested transport to Athol Hospital for evaluation.

7:25 p.m. — Alarm activation reported at South Main Street location; building found secure.

7:31 p.m. — Report of fireworks in area of West River Street. All quiet on arrival.

Saturday, Dec. 30

Midnight — Stopped operator on Daniel Shays Highway for no front license plate. Verbal warning issued.

2:15 a.m. — Report of structure fire at Partridgeville Road location. On arrival mattress had been put out.

2:36 a.m. — While on patrol located subject parked at industrial park, Dukakis Drive. All ok.

9:05 a.m. — Walk-in party to station looking for escort to East Main Street location to retrieve property. Done without issue.

1:58 p.m.— Motor vehicle stop, East Main Street for expired inspection sticker. Operator found to have already been issued a citation by Westfield PD two weeks prior. Verbal warning given.

2 p.m. — Control reports a call from Kelton Street asking to speak with officer. Caller looking to retrieve property. Party will drop items at Petersham Police Department. Message left.

Sunday, Dec. 31

1:06 a.m. — Motor vehicle stopped  on Daniel Shays Highway for driver not showing license status. Same issued a citation for operating without a license and a licensed operator drove the vehicle away.

8:40 a.m. — Medical emergency reported, Fryeville Road.

9:22 a.m. — Medical emergency, East Main Street.

11:51 a.m. — Control advised subject looking to speak with officer in regards to being harassed. Party states no matter what he does in his apartment he keeps getting noise complaing letters written to management and there are no claims. Looking for options and same provided. Also advised to contact police if there are any other issues.

12:20 p.m. — Call from Walmart requesting officer check a vehicle parked in lot for some time with heavy smoke coming from exhaust. Officer found vehicle was disabled, and a tow truck already on its way.

2:04 p.m. — Motor vehicle lockout, North Main Street. Entry gained.

2:20 p.m. — New Salem police looking for assistance with three-car motor vehicle accident near the Orange-New Salem town line. Canceled; accident found to be in New Salem.

3:46 p.m. — Traffic stop, Daniel Shays Highway. Verbal warning issued.

4:40 p.m. — Medical emergency, West Main Street.

6 p.m. — Patrol officer flagged down by motorist stating there was a subject in Hannaford parking lot who had locked keys in vehicle. Entry gained without issue.

6:05 p.m. — Medical emergency, East Main Street.

9:31 p.m. - Firefighter at the bonfire located at the fire department reports a group of youths were arguing with each other earlier, Water Street. Officer approached 16-year-old female for questioning when she became disorderly. Juvenile sent home with her mother.

Monday, Jan. 1

2:33 a.m. - Traffic stop for expired inspection sticker and marked lanes violation, South Main Street. Operator put through field sobriety tests and passed. Verbal warning for civil infractions.

2:50 a.m. - Report of sex offenses, Daniel Shays Highway. Report taken.

7:40 a.m. - Clerk from Stop N Save states party is at store wondering if there is an officer looking for him, South Main Street. On arrival, found an argument occurred earlier that morning and party thought police were looking for him. Party then made statements threatening to harm himself. He was transported to AH for evaluation.

7:56 a.m. - Alarm activation, East Main Street. Building checked and found secure. Neighbor notified owner.

8:15 a.m. - Approached on East Main Street by resident reporting he lost his wallet between Cumberland Farms and Water Street at approximately 6:45 this morning. Wallet contained cash, a driver’s license and other items.

9:50 a.m. - Caller reports one of his windows was broken sometime overnight, East Main Street. Window facing Water Street found to be spider webbed. Appeared that sidewalks were sanded the night before for Starry Starry Night and rock could possibly have been kicked up and broken the window. Nothing could be proven. Caller advised incident would be on record for insurance purposes.

11:20 a.m. - Medical emergency, Congress Street.

11:34 a.m. - 911 caller states her pipes are frozen and she doesn’t know what she should do, East River Street. Leisure Woods management contacted and they advised they would put caller in touch with a plumber.

11:50 a.m. - Franklin County House of Correction reports party has been released, West River Street. Female is to stay away from the residence and subject. Victim has been notified.

11:53 a.m. - Caller reports loose white dog near a pond, Creamery Hill Road. Animal control officer contacted and was already en route.

12:35 p.m. - Caller from CSO looking to speak with an officer regarding subject, East River Street. Information provided.

1:30 p.m. - Summons served, East River Street.

1:41 p.m. - Caller looking for officer, as it appears one of his trucks had fuel taken, Daniel Shays Highway. On arrival, found an employee had a truck problem and used fuel from another truck to try to fix the problem.

2:12 p.m. - Subject to station for sex offender registration. 

2:39 p.m. - Request for welfare check after reporting party went to residence and there was no answer at door, Hamilton Avenue. Children could be heard in the residence and it appeared by looking in the windows that the place was trashed. Apartment found quiet and no answer at door.

3:15 p.m. - Request for officer regarding missing TV, Daniel Shays Highway. Under investigation. 

4:20 p.m. - Commercial burglar alarm, East Main Street. Found business owner on scene.

10 p.m. - Caller reports subject won’t give back his debit card, Burrill Avenue. Officers responded and found there is an ongoing issue with the caller and subject is concerned. Debit card returned. Situation mediated, as caller agreed to leave the house.

Tuesday, Jan. 2

1:49 a.m. - Officer located male party dressed in all black clothing walking down the roadway, New Athol Road. Determined party was walking home to Athol. Provided male with ride home due to the temperature.

2:02 a.m. - Traffic stop for failure to turn on lights, East Road. Verbal warning.
