Mahar Regional Middle School girls basketball squad shooting for perfection in league record

ORANGE — The Mahar Regional Middle School girls’ basketball team sets out to earn a perfect league record and with two league games left and with a chance to continue down that path with a game against Pioneer Valley today.

The team will face Pioneer Valley Regional in a league game today at 4:30 p.m. They will then face Hopkins Academy on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Both games are league games and are at home. Two wins will improve Mahar to a perfect 13-0 league record.

Mahar is 13-2 overall this season and currently 11-0 within league play. They have received quality performances across the board from every player so far this season. In their most recent win overAthol, Sienna Moore scored 13 points and added 11 rebounds, four assists and solid defense. Natalie Belloli scored five points and added seven rebounds. Kendra Doane scored four points, while Ava Liberty added three points and 12 rebounds. Julianna Herbert scored one point and added eight rebounds. Sophia Woods, Alexis Galvin and Haylee Allen all played well defensively in their most recent game, but have been consistent players all season long as well.
